Your donation will create a ripple effect of wellness. This charity began with one person. A man named Matthew Woods found a way to heal from his trauma and decided to pay it forward. All those who seek freedom from deep anxiety, depression, or trauma can now find their way “out of the woods”.
The Missing Peace Foundation will fund Intensive Outpatient programs that go above and beyond talk therapy. Consisting of 9-25 hours a week, patients will emerge from their darkness, finding purpose and an opportunity to recreate their lives.
The program involves a number of treatments ranging from individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, neurofeedback, biofeedback, alpha-stimulation, exposure therapy, movement, energy work, sound baths, music therapy, art groups, meditation, massage and personalized olfactory anxiety reduction therapy.
The interrelation between the mind, body, and spirit has dominated Eastern healing practices for centuries. Western cultures are starting to adopt these practices in combination with more traditional medical treatments, creating a more integrative approach to healing. The three-part health model focuses on this connection to help treat the whole person to achieve wellness outcomes. When your health is impaired in one area, it impacts the other two.
At The Missing Peace Foundation, we believe in treating more than just symptoms. We focus on healing the whole person — mind, body, and spirit.
The Missing Peace is a champion of the three-part health model and even goes further to integrate multiple therapy modalities — different types of therapy — to treat severe trauma disorders — anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation. Every patient is assessed and a team of healers work together to develop a treatment plan for individuals based on their specific health needs.
Having received a number of accolades and recognitions from the mental health and well-being community, Laura Rhodes-Levin, a licensed marriage and family therapist, is most proud of being the founder of The Missing Peace – Center for Anxiety.
The Missing Peace Foundation ensures that mental health is accessible to all by covering costs that insurance often
leaves unmet. We strive to empower individuals and families on their path to repairing broken family systems while healing the mind, body and spirit. Patients are selected based on the need for a multi-modality intensive outpatient program to treat suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
People are deeply suffering and not accessing the care that truly heals them. Piecemeal approaches aren’t working.
We know what works.
